1)Reflexive Pronouns 反身代词用法归纳 一、反身代词的基本形式
反身代词是 oneself根据所指词的人称、性别、单复数等的变化可以有 myself, himself, herself, yourself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves 等形式。 二、oneself与himself
当one指人时,其相应的反身代词通常用oneself, 在美国英语中也可用himself: One should not praise oneself [himself]. 一个人不应该自吹自擂。 三、反身代词的句法功能:
1. 用作同位语(加强被修饰词的语气,紧放在被修饰名词后, 或句末): The box itself is not so heavy. 箱子本身并不重。
Martin himself attended the sick man. 马丁亲自照顾病人。 Don’t trouble to come over yourself. 你不必费神亲自来了。 You yourself said so. / You said so yourself. 你自己是这样说的。
Never leave to others what you ought to do yourself. 不要把自己该做的事留给别人做。 2. 用作宾语(动词或介词的宾语):
Take good care of yourself. 照顾好自己。
He has a right to decide for himself. 他有权为自己做出决定。 He made no complaint for himself. 他没为自己抱怨什么。 She finally gained control of herself. 最后她控制住了自己。 She could not make herself understood. 她不能使别人听懂她的话。
Everybody here has the influenza including myself. 包括我在内所有人都患上流感。 The child cried himself to sleep. 孩子哭着哭着睡着了。 She convinced herself that it was so. 她说服自己情况是这样的。

【说明】有时用于 be, feel, seem, look 等后作表语表示身体或精神处于正常状态: I’m not quite myself these days. 我近来身体不大舒服。 I’ll be myself again in no time. 我过一会儿就会好的。
4. 用作主语。在现代英语中,反身代词一般不能用作主语,但是它却可以借助 and, or, nor 等连词与其他名词一起构成并列主语(且位于并列主语的后部),以及用于某些特殊结构(如as...as等):
My brother and myself went there yesterday. 昨天我兄弟和我一起去了那儿。

1.Could you speak more loudly? loudly 为副词,意为‘‘高声地,大声地;吵闹的”。注意aloud/loudly/loud的辨析。 1)aloud强调发出的声音能被听见,表示“出声地”或“大声地”,常与read, call等动词连用。
2)loud表示“响亮地”,“大声”或‘‘高声地”,侧重发出的音量大,传得远,一般多用来修饰speak, talk, laugh等动词,在口语中代替loudly。 例:Speak louder, please, or no one will hear you.
3)loudly意为“响亮地”,基本意义相同,还常与ring, knock等动词连用,含有“喧闹”或“嘈杂”的意味。

5. It connects you with the world. connect v. 连接;联结
connect是正式用语,基本意思是松散的“连接”,指所分离着的事物在某一点上相互接触,但又各自保持着自己的性。引申可表示在事物间或抽象概念之间建立起来的一种不十分紧密的关系,即“把„„联系起来”。
connect后接介词to表示“使与„„连接”; 后接副词up表示“接通,连接在一起”; 后接介词with表示“与„„连接”

1)Let me introduce myself.
Introduce是动词,意为“介绍,引见”,常用词组为:
introduce sb./ sth. to sb.把某人/某物介绍给某人。 例如:It was my younger brother who introduce me to jazz.

2) I have no brothers or sisters.= I don’t have any brothers or sisters.我没有兄弟姐妹。 no + n. = not a/an/any + n.
eg: I have no money to buy this book. = I don’t have any money to buy this book. 3) I like to play chess.
play chess意为“下棋”,在使用中要注意,在chess之前不能接任何冠词。
例如:
I seldom play chess, but I like to watch. She is playing chess with a boy. 4)In this e-mail, I am trying to use some new words.
try to do sth.意为“努力做某事‖,比较常见的结构还有:try one’s best to do sth.意为“尽自己最大的能力做事‖;try doing sth.意为“尝试干某事(只是试试看)”。
例如:He tried to get the apple above the shelf, but failed.
I must try my best to finish my homework by myself.
5) I’m looking forward to your reply. look forward to意为“盼望,期待做某事”,此处 to 为介词,后便要跟名词,代词宾格或动名词。例如:
I look forward to to work every day.
我每天都期待来上班。
