不定代词讲解：

不指明代替任何特定名词的代词叫不定代词。常见的有：some, any, many, much, all, none, both, either, neither, another, other, the other, others等以及由some, any, no与body, thing, one, where等组合成的复合不定代词。

一、 some/any/no

1. 一般用法：some和any可与单、复数名词或不可数名词连用。Some一般用于肯定句；any多用于疑问句、否定句或条件句；no= not any，通常用作定语，修饰可数或不可数名词。

He has some Chinese paintings.

Do you have any questions to ask me? There is no milk in the glass. 2. 特殊用法：

1) some可用在肯定疑问句中，表示说话人认为对方的答案会是肯定的或期望得到肯定回答；在表示请求、建议、征求对方意见以及邀请时也用some。 Would you like some bananas? / Why don’t you buy some sweets?

2) some和any还可以用来修饰单数可数名词，这时some表示“某一个”，any表示“任何一个”：

There must be some job that you can do well.（一定有某种你能做好的工作） You can come any day you like.

二、a lot of/ many/ much

Many和much 都表示许多，但many修饰或代替复数可数名词，much修饰或代替不可数名词。A lot of许多，可以修饰可数名词和不可数名词，只能用于肯定句。在否定句中分别用many和much代替。

A lot of people got hurt in the accident, including many students. There isn’t much rain in Xuzhou in winter.

He has got many model planes, but I don’t have any.

三、both, all, either, none和neither 都 任何 都不 两者 both either neither 三者或三者以上 all any none 1. both表示“两者都”，可指人和物；both应放在the, these, those, my之前；both作主语时，谓语动词用复数。表示两者间完全否定时，用neither。 Both my parents like this film.

This maths problem can be worked out in both ways. Both you and he are ok.

Neither of us is a teacher. 我们俩都不是教师。 2. All与复数名词连用时表示“所有的，全部的”，指三者或三者以上的人或物；当all作主语指人时，谓语动词用复数，指物时，谓语动词用单数或复数。all用于否定句表示部分否定，完全否定用none.

He gave me all the money.

All of us were surprised at the news. All is going well.

Not all the ants go out for food. 并非所有的蚂蚁都出去找吃的。 None of the students are here. 没有一个学生在场。 3. either表示“两者之中任何一个”，作主语时，谓语动词用单数；作定语时，修饰单数名词。

There are shops on either side of the street. Either of them is going there.

4. none表示三者或三者以上“没有一个”，既可指人也可指物，作主语指可数名词时，谓语动词既可用单数，也可用复数；后可跟of短语。None 还可以回答How many 开头的疑问句。

Some people would rather ride bicycles as bicycle riding has none of the trouble of taking buses.

I like none of the flowers.

--How many birds are there in the tree? --None.

5. neither表示两者中的任何一个“都不；两个都不”，作定语时修饰可数名词单数形式，作主语时谓语动词通常用单数形式；后可跟of短语。 Neither suggestion you put forward is to be considered. Neither of them is interested in the film.

四、another, other, the other, others和the others

1. another修饰或代替单数可数名词，强调三者或三者以上的“另一个”； “another+数词+复数名词”表示在原有基础上“又，再，额外”。 The little boy finished his cake and asked for another. We need another ten chairs.

2. the other 表示两者中的另一个，the other +复数可数名词表示“其他的．．．”the others表示特定范围的其余的一些人或物。Others=other＋复数名词泛指其他的人和物。

She always thinks of other people and never thinks of herself.

He got two books: one is a textbook, the other is a novel.

Some of the pencils are red, the others/ the other pens are yellow. One…the other…意为“（两者间）一个„„另一个„„”；some…others…意为“一些„„另一些”。

The two brothers often quarrel with each other; one is stubborn, and the other (is) selfish.

Some are playing football on the playground, others are in the classroom.
