Waiting for Goldie
等待戈尔迪
Danny’s grandfather has many pigeons,one of them has a pair of golden eyes,and she is quite rare.
丹尼的祖父有很多鸽子，其中一只鸽子的眼睛是金色的，很罕见。
Because of her eyes,she;s called Goldie.
因为她的眼睛，给她取名字叫戈尔迪。
Goldie can race really fast,and she won loads of cups.
戈尔迪比赛（飞得）很快，她曾经赢得了非常多的奖杯。（这里的cups指的是比赛的奖杯）
She’s famous,too.
同样，她很出名。
But now ,she gets lost,it didn’t happened before，however it happens now.
.但是现在，她丢了，在这之前从未发生过，但现在发生了。
Grandfather is now in hospital,so Danny has to look after the pigeons.
祖父现在生病了，所以丹尼不得不照看这些鸽子。（in hospital通常只在医院生病了，但是in the hospital指的是在医院工作或者是单纯在医院里面）
He must record the time that Goldie returns from a race,but she doesn’t come back now.
他（此处指丹尼）必须记录戈尔迪比赛往返的时间，但是她（此处指戈尔迪）现在还没有回来。
Danny is very nervous to see his grandfather because Goldie is lost.
丹尼去看他的祖父的时候感到很焦虑，因为戈尔迪失踪了。
Luckily,Granddad trusts Goldie, and believes his lie.
幸运的是（丹尼的）祖父相信戈尔迪，并相信了他（此处指丹尼）得谎言。（丹尼为了不让祖父担心应该是撒了谎的）
Danny decides to get rid of the faicons that might have kill Goldie.
丹尼决定从戈尔迪可能死亡的这事儿中摆脱出来。
But he is a good boy,he doesn’t do that finally.
但是丹尼是一个本质不坏的男孩，他并没有这么做（最后）。
At that moment ,he finds Goldie in a tiny crack.
就在这时，他（丹尼）发现戈尔迪在一个细小的裂缝中。
Goldie’s leg is broken,so Danny brings her back home as quickly as he can.
戈尔迪的腿受伤了（此处的broken应该翻译为受伤了），所以丹尼尽快带她（戈尔迪）回家。（as quickly as he can 尽可能快得）
After that ,Danny solves the problem perfectly.
在那之后，丹尼妥善地解决了这个问题。
Good- heartness often meets with recompense.
好心会有好报（也可理解为因果报应）
Danny’s nice heart makes him find Goldie and saves her life.
丹尼的好心肠让他（成功）找到了戈尔迪并且久了她一命。
Everyone can become animals best friend if you want.
如果你愿意的话，任何人都能成为动物最好的朋友。
