摘要：A composite metal article is made by placing a low melting temperature metalto serve as a core within a shell of a high melting temperature metal and by containingand sealing the core within the shell. The assembly constitutes a containerized ingotwhich is then transported to a forming die where the containerized ingot is heated tosoften the core and is then formed to the shape imposed by the die. During the coolingperiod, the shell is reformed to the core to maintain tight contact and to promotebonding.
