摘要：The present invention discloses a method and composition for the treatment ofbacterial infections by the parenteral introduction of an effective amount of at least onelytic enzyme produced by a bacteria infected with a bacteriophage specific for saidbacteria wherein the lytic enzyme is selected from the group consisting of shuffled lyticenzymes, chimeric lytic enzymes, holin enzymes, and combinations thereof, wherein saidlytic enzyme is in an appropriate carrier for delivering the lytic enzyme into a patient. Theinjection can be done intramuscularly, subcutaneously, or intravenously.
