摘要：A device for heating and transferring a film to the surface of an object having avariable transfer width wherein the object is mounted on a rotary jig and a thermaltransfer roll contacts the object so that the film is fed between the transfer roll and theobject as the jig rotates. In order to prevent excessive transfer pressures, the contactpressure exerted by the transfer roll on the surface of the object can be varied withreference to changes in the width of the surface to which the film is actually applied. Inlieu of varying the pressure, the speed at which the transfer rolls traverses the surfacecan be adjusted with respect to variations in the width of the surface to which the film istransferred.
