摘要：The disclosed method and apparatus include steps and means for providing asupply of aqueous nutrient liquid to the cut end of each of one or more cuttings such ascut flowers and small branches for sustaining life processes, and for coupling the cutinterface of each such cutting to the liquid supply. The lateral surface of each cutting isusually covered at and adjacent the cut end. This covering inhibits contamination anddeterioration of the nutrient liquid during protracted periods of growth. For many kindsof cuttings, the nutrient liquid is applied to the ends of the cuttings at a distinctly higherpressure than that which is present incidentally at the cut ends of flowers in a vase.
