摘要：The present invention provides a method for comparing the content of aspecific cell subpopulation in cell suspension samples by determining the count of cellsof said subpopulation per unit volume in each sample, using a flow cytometer with fixedvolume acquisition, but without the use of an internal or external standard. Thus, theeffect of a test compound on cell viability can be determined, especially the cytotoxic orcytostatic effect of anticancer drugs. The method is a useful tool for predicting thebiological activity of cytotoxic or cytostatic compounds on cells of the same kind as thecells in the sample. Furthermore, a kit for performing the method is provided.
